Dr Christian Napp is currently the head of acute cardiac care at The Clinic for Cardiology and Angiology at the Medical University of Hanover. Besides being an interventional cardiologist, he has acquired additional qualification in emergency medicine and intensive care medicine after his internal medicine degree.
Dr Napp’s clinical and scientific work focuses on acute heart failure, Takotsubo Syndrome, cardiogenic shock, and mechanical circulatory support. He has published more than 100 international peer-reviewed scientific publications and book chapters, and serves as reviewer for numerous top-listed cardiovascular journals. In addition, he is an active member of several national and international scientific societies, and a nucleus member of the resuscitation chapter of the German Cardiac Society.
