Dr. Chan Kit is a private cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist in Pro-Care Heart, Hong Kong. He was formerly the Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong and consultant cardiologist of the University of Hong Kong Shenzhen Hospital. Dr. Chan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong. He underwent post-graduate training in cardiac electrophysiology in Westmead Hospital, the University of Sydney, Australia. He has also undergone short-term overseas training in complex cardiac implantable electronic devices, cardiac electrophysiology and coronary intervention in several tertiary institutes in Italy, the United States, South Korea and mainland China respectively. He has received the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) Level 2 competency training in cardiac CT and is the Testamur of the American Society of Echocardiography Examination of Special Competence in Adult Echocardiography (ASCeXAM®). He is an International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certified cardiac device (CCDS) and cardiac electrophysiology specialist (CEPS). He is the Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS), American College of Cardiology (FACC), European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and Royal College of Physicians (FRCP (Edin)). He is the committee council member and newsletter editor of Asian Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS), the treasurer of Hong Kong Interhospital Network of Pacing and Cardiac Electrophysiology (HK-IN-PACE) and the reader of Journal of Hong Kong College of Cardiology (JHKCC). He is a frequently invited speaker and presenter in both local and international cardiology conferences. His main clinical interests include cardiac arrhythmia management, sudden cardiac arrest, sports-related sudden death, cardiac electronic device therapy for advanced heart failure, cardiac electrophysiology and radiofrequency ablation.
