Dr Hung-kwong Duncan Ho

Dr. Ho graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 1987 and joined the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he received his Cardiology training. He became Clinical Cardiology Fellow of the University of Michigan Medical Centre in 1994, sponsored by Scholarship from the Hong Kong Heart Foundation. He has been chief operator for cardiac intervention procedures since 1995. He has been invited to perform hundreds of live case demonstrations in Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Vietnam and France.

Currently, Dr. Ho is the Honorary Consultant Cardiologist of Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital. Apart from being the founding Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology and the Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology, he has been an International Faculty Member of TCT (USA), PCR (Europe), CIT (China), CCT (Japan), TTT (Taiwan), Angioplasty Summit (Korea), TOPIC (Tokyo) for many years. With special interests in Left Main Stenting, drug-eluted and Bioabsorbable Stents, Adjunctive Devices like thrombectomy, Rotablator & IVUS, Dr. Ho has acted as Principal Investigator in multinational clinical trials including SPIRIT V, ATLAS, ROCKET AF. Dr. Ho implanted the first drug-eluting stent marketed in Mainland China, with tremendous experience in intravascular USS and the pathogenesis of coronary atherosclerotic disease.

He is a council member of the Hong Kong Medical Council as well as Hong Kong Medical Association. He is co-chairing the CME program of HKMA and the co-editor of its official journal, the “Bulletin”.
